015 - Rebirth - The Life After Death
Our life doesn't end with our death. We live even after our death and there is a life for us after our death perhaps a different one based on what we did while we were alive. My Sri Guruji Srila Sri Gnana Joadhi Sampangi Swamigal has written a topic called "Maranathukkup Pinnal" meaning 'After Death' in his book called 'Maranam Marumai Mukthi' 'Death, Rebirth and Liberation of Athma'. My Yoga guru Sri Gnana Joadhi Sampangi Swamigal has shared an experience he had on speaking directly with Athma of a dead lady in this book. Here it is.
Swamiji was at his 26 or 27th age and he was working in Bangalore. At that time he had a friend called Lala and his friend was at his 40. Lala used to use his wife's sister as Media to talk to Athmas in the World of Athmas. He used to do this for those who want to talk to their dead relatives. One day a close family friend of Lala committed suiside. She was a lady. After six months of her death, Lala wanted to talk to her and find out the reason for her suicide. so, he made all the arrangements to talk to the dead lady and he invited my SriGuruji to be part of the program. Swamigi agreed to this and He was in that room along with other relatives of Lala.
It was a small room. A black or Blue woolen bed sheet was covered on the floor. All the people in that room was sitting around the woolen bed sheet. Lala's wife's sister came and after getting the blessings from Lala, she light the brass Vilakku. Then she switched off the room light and lie-down on the woolen bed sheet and closed her eyes.
For next five minutes Lala was telling something and called the name of the dead one and said he wants to speak with her. After few mins of silence, the light of the brass villakku was waving along with the chain in which the brass vilakku was hanging. The lady lying down started moaning. Her body started vibrating. Swamiji was feeling that he should not have come to this place but was not afraid of any thing. The lady was again moaning and was asking " Has Sampangi come here?" Swamiji was shocked. Swamiji was thinking that it could be a setup and didn't believe that the dead one's Athma has come. He wanted to test it and prepared few questions to ask. The lady was asking again 'has Sampangi come here?' Lala said 'yes'. Swamiji asked Lala 'why his name was called?' . Lala asked the media 'why are you asking about Sampangi?" Media said, 'looks like Sapmpangi is doubting me. Is there any thing he wants to ask?' Swamiji told her to tell his birth date. Media asked, 'you want it in English or Tamil date?' Swamiji told her to tell his birth month and date in Tamil. Media said, "Lala pl dont ask Sampangi to speak again. Looks like he is doubting me and he was born on Chithirai 17'.
That was correct. Swamiji didn't speak again but he made a Namaskaram with his two hands. Medaia said, ' Lala, He is making Namskaram to me. With his Yoga Power he should not make Namaskaram to me. I make my Namaskaram to him. Its getting late and I need to go. Quickly ask me what you want to know from me"
Lala was asking "Bharathi (the one who made suicide) why did you commit suicide?"
" I was not wise enough was the reason. I didn't have the patience and knowledge to tolerate even small struggles that I meet in life. I didn't listen to my dad's advise. I was not willing to listen to any body. Once I came here (Athma world) I realize how good it was to be with the body."
"Bharathi, Your brother and father are crying now. How is your life there?"
" I am in the place of Athmas. This place feels like a place without any air or light. No one speaks with me here freely. I want to come there immediately and I am desperate for that. I feel like some one who has drown in water and finding it very difficult to breath. I dont have any peace of mind. None of you can give me any kind of peace to me. I cry because above me there are Athmas with peace of mind and they are comfortable. Though I cry, I don't get tears. I am being pulled. Allow me to leave and its time for me to go"
After a minute or so the body of the media was vibrating and then silence. Lala asked all to go out of the room. After 5 minutes, the Media came out. Then Swamiji came home.
Now If we ask a question on "I am being pulled. Allow me to leave and its time for me to go" Who pulled her?
The Athma was being pulled by its Paramathma. Its a good lesson for those who think death would solve all the problems and want to commit suicide. Right? Swamiji was warning Lala that its not good to get in touch with Athmas and Lala didn't listen. Finally when Lala went for a family tour he was dead along with all his family members.
Hope whoever thought that The world of Athma is their best vacation place, should have got a feeling of how it would be there.. right? While we are here with our body we can reserve our best place there. Only Yoga Asanas, Pranayamas and Meditation we learn from a true Yogi would help us to have a better place there. We cannot go there and say "I was not aware".. right..? Innocence is not an excuse.. right..? We all should be proud and thankful to my Sri Guruji Sri Gnana Joadhi Sampangi Swamigal who has shared this most useful knowledge to all of us... right..? Our predecessors didn't know and might be struggling there.. Right?.. Now we know what it is and how to reserve a better place there.. right..?
